Business Visas
If you are a business owner with strong record of running a successful business, and you are planning to own and manage one or more business in Australia, Business visa may be an option for you if you meet the relevant criteria, and you are nominated by a state or territory government or Australian agency and are invited to apply by the Minister for Immigration and Border Protection. Following business visa options are available for you:
Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa (subclass 188)
- This visa allows you to own and manage a business in Australia (the Business Innovation stream).
- Conduct business and investment activity in Australia (the Investor stream, the Significant Investor stream and the Premium Investor stream).
- Undertake an entrepreneurial activity in Australia (Entrepreneur stream).
Holding this visa is the first stage before becoming eligible to qualify for a Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) Visa (subclass 888)
Business Talent (Permanent) visa (subclass 132)
This visa allows you to establish a new or develop an existing business in Australia. It has two streams:
- Significant Business History stream: for high-calibre business owners or part-owners who want to do business in Australia.
- Venture Capital Entrepreneur stream: for people who have sourced venture capital funding from a member of the Australian Venture Capital Association Limited (AVCAL).
